Please join Denver Rotary in welcoming Kate Mercer-Lawson to our Emerging Professional Cohort program.
Kate Mercer-Lawson is brand new to Denver and thrilled to be getting involved with Rotary. Originally from Indiana, Kate moved to Denver to join the downtown law firm of Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP. Before entering private practice, she was an attorney and law clerk in the United States Courts for four years—first to the Honorable Sarah Evans Barker (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana), and then to the Honorable Jerome A. Holmes (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and a recent Club President for the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City). She has also taught judicial politics and criminal law courses at Indiana University.Â
Before she found her way to law, Kate completed two years of medical school, worked for a breast cancer nonprofit, and earned a Masters of Health Administration. She lives with her husband and elementary school crush, Cody, and their dog, Mr. Oliver. She loves mentoring, traveling, running, yoga, reading, volunteering, visiting her wonderful family, and event planning.
